Lost and found reglament

1. General provisions
1.1. This provision was developed in accordance with the norms of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, "Rules for the provision of hotel services in the Russian Federation", approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 25.04.97, No. 490 (as amended by the Resolutions of the Government of the Russian Federation of 02.10.1999 N 1104, of 15.09. 2000 N 693, dated 01.02.2005 N 49) and determines the procedure for registering forgotten things, the rules and terms of their storage in the cell, as well as the procedure for returning.
1.2. The Brosko Hotel, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, in accordance with Article 925 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, is responsible for the loss, shortage or damage of the Guests belongings brought to the hotel, with the exception of money, other currency values, securities and other precious things, subject to compliance Guest of the Hotel Accommodation Rules.
1.3. The Contractor is responsible for the loss of monetary funds, other currency values, securities and other precious things of the Guest, provided that they were accepted by the Contractor for safekeeping.
1.4. In case of discovery of the loss of personal belongings from the room, the Guest is obliged to immediately inform the administration of the Hotel about this in order to take the necessary measures to search for the missing things.
1.5. If forgotten things are found, the Contractor immediately notifies the owner of the things, if the owner is known.
1.6. The luggage room can only be used by Guests registered and staying at the Hotel for the duration of their stay.
1.7. This Regulation comes into force from the moment of its approval and is valid indefinitely.
The regulation can be changed, supplemented or canceled in the manner prescribed by the current legislation or local regulations (orders) of the Contractor.

2. Procedure for registering forgotten things
2.1. If the Guest finds forgotten belongings in the room or the guest area, the employee must inform the check-in counter within 1 hour after discovery.
2.2. The Hotel employees who found them should inform the Administrator on duty about forgotten things that look suspicious, indicating the exact location of the find.
2.3. The employee who found things, together with the administrator on duty, draw up an Act on the discovery and an inventory of forgotten things.
2.4. If the name of the person who lost the item is known, it is necessary to enter it in the register of forgotten items and, if possible, contact the owner.

3. Lost things storage rules
3.1. The find is registered in the "Journal of registration of things left or forgotten by the guest". Then the item is packed in a separate package. The Act on the discovery and an inventory of forgotten things is also kept there.
3.2. Items forgotten by the Guests are kept in the Hotel for 6 months, and for foreign citizens - 1 year.
3.3. Valuables, large amounts of money are stored for up to 1 year.
3.4. Bank cards, passports and other identity documents, after registering in the "Journal of registration of things left or forgotten by the guest" are transferred to the Reception and Accommodation Service to search for owners, about which a note is made in the journal, and the administrator signs the receipt of this item.
3.5. Opened food products cannot be stored for a long time and must be disposed of. If the packaging of food products is not broken, they are handed over to the storage room according to general rules and must be stored for 1 week.
3.6. Closed wines, cognacs, cans of caviar, etc. are also equated to forgotten things and are subject to long-term storage (based on the terms of sale indicated on the package).
3.7. Personal items (toothbrushes, combs, underwear) are recorded in the journal and stored for a week if found in a clean state.
3.8. If items for personal use (including underwear) are found not in their pure form, they are also subject to storage for 1 week, while measures are being taken to find the owner of the items. If the owner is not found, after the expiration of the specified period, these things are subject to disposal in the prescribed manner by throwing them into a garbage container.

4. Lost items return procedure
4.1. If the guest who has left has somehow reported the loss, the Administrator specifies when and in what place the item was forgotten and asks to describe it. If the item is in storage, it is returned.
If there is no entry about the thing requested by the Guest in the “Register of belongings left or forgotten by the Guest”, you should conduct a survey of employees in order, if possible, to find the loss, and the Guest should be asked to contact the hotel later.
4.2. If the item is returned to the Guest personally, the administrator on duty draws up an "Act for the return of the forgotten item", in which the owner signs for receipt. Acts are stored for 1 year, and then destroyed in accordance with the established procedure. A corresponding note is made in the "Journal of registration of things left or forgotten by the Guest".
4.3. If the item is returned through a proxy, a power of attorney is required, which the owner can fax. In this case, the Act is drawn up with the participation of a trustee.
4.4. At the end of each month, the Administrator on duty conducts an audit of things in storage as forgotten or abandoned, and draws up an act of its results together with the head of the Reception and Accommodation Service.
4.5. Things for which the owners have not applied for within the established periods of storage in the forgotten things chamber (according to clause 3 of this Regulation), according to the Act of the Commission for the destruction of forgotten things, the composition of which is established by order, are transferred to the employees who found them or are subject to destruction. A corresponding note is made about this in the “Journal of registration of things left or forgotten by the Guest”.
